The Piedmont Division serves the Atlanta, Georgia area within the Southeastern Region of the National Model Railroad Association. The National Model Railroad Association is the largest organization devoted to the development, promotion, and enjoyment of the hobby of model railroading.

Fall Model and Photo Contests

The Fall 2014 Model and Photo contests will be held during the October 2014 meeting at the Elk's Lodge in Tucker. 

Please bring models and photos, along with contest forms and other paperwork, to the contest room beginning at 7:00.

Call For Candidates - 2014 BOD Elections

The Piedmont Division is issuing a Call for Candidates who are interested in serving on the Division Board of Directors.  The following positions are up for election in 2014:

  • Superintendent
  • Director of Administration
  • Director of Personnel
  • Director-at-Large (4 positions)

Due to term limits, the Director of Personnel position and three Director-at-Large positions will not have an incumbent running.

As a member of the BOD you will earn points towards your AP Volunteer certificate.  If you are interested in running for a position on the BOD, contact Elections Chair Bob Young at bobojr16@att.net

Atlanta Railroads Prototype Modelers Meet

The Piedmont Division will be participating in the Atlanta Railroads Prototype Modelers (RPM) Meet, to be hosted by the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, September 19 & 20, 2014. RPM meets welcome all model railroaders interested in replicating prototype railroad locomotive, rolling stock, structures and locations.  

Clinics will be presented by members of the Piedmont Division and Atlanta area prototype-based layout will be open for meet attendees.  In addition, members of the Steel City Division will present clinics.

SER Mini-Meet Hosted by the Mid-South Division

The Mid-South Division will host a mini-meet September 27, 2014 in Huntsville, AL.  This is a FREE event, open to NMRA members and soon-to-be NMRA members.
