Piedmont Division 2020 Photo Contest

The October Piedmont Division meeting usually features our Fall Model and Photo Contest. We want to offer our members the opportunity to show off their skills despite the pandemic.

 If you have a model you would like judged for a possible Merit Award, please contact Charlie Mason at candmjmason@att.net or call 770 993-1589.

Fortunately, we can judge photos virtually, so on with the Contest!

PIEDMONT DIVISION 2020 VIRTUAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST RULES

Active Piedmont Division members can submit photos for judging in two categories: model or prototype photos. Submissions can be full-color or black-and-white images. All images must be the original work of the entrant. Modified or colorized images are welcomed as long as the modifications have been performed by the entrant.

Judging Factors include: Impact, Composition, Artistic Approach, Lighting, Exposure, Focus, Difficulty, Special Effects, and Technique. Go to nmra.org/national-photo-contest-judging-guidelines for more information on the judging process.

Each entrant is limited to a maximum of five (5) entries. Entries must be received no later than 10 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Each entry requires a separate email entry and uploading of the entrant's images to a Google drive.

Winners will be announced at the November Division Webex Meeting.

ENTRY PROCESS

1. PIEDMONT DIVISION VIRTUAL PHOTO CONTEST ENTRY FORM
    Each entry requires a separate email sent to Jim Datka at jdatka@mindspring.com.

    Title your email: Photo Contest entry from (your name)
    Copy the following into the body of your email and complete the form:

    Name:

    NMRA #:

    Address:

    City:                                                                                State: GA    Zip Code:

    Phone:
    File Name: (needed to match to your photo)

    Category: (Model or Prototype)

    Title: (optional)

    Description:


2. UPLOAD YOUR IMAGE TO GOOGLE DRIVE

    Copy and enter the following address into any internet browser:
    drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xWFPiUlo0RdBGjWwThomA2NJXmV9Jv8E?usp=sharing

    Right click your mouse below the photos:

    (left click) UPLOAD FILES from the drop-down menu

    This will open a file folder on your computer

    Select the photo you want to enter and click OPEN and it will automatically begin uploading

    You can upload all entries at this time, simply right click your mouse and the drop-down menu will reappear

    Simply close the tab after your images are uploaded.
