2019 Board of Directors Election

The Piedmont Division 2019 Board of Directors Election will be held at the November 12, 2019 monthly meeting.  You may also vote using an absentee ballot.

 Voting Requirements
 
Be a member in good standing as listed on the November 2018 roster from the NMRA, and have a membership type that allows voting.  Life, Regular, Associate, Sustaining, and Student members may vote.  Family members and Rail Pass members may not. 

Voting at the November Meeting
 

  • Upon arrival at the November meeting, register with a member of the elections committee.  
  • If you meet the above voting requirements, you will receive a numbered ballot. Ballots are numbered for control purposes only.
  • Completed ballots must be submitted to the elections committee no later than the end of the meeting break.
  • You will not be allowed to vote at the November meeting if you requested an absentee ballot, even if not returned to Chuck Hoesch. 
  • No proxy votes will be accepted.

 Absentee Voting 

  • Absentee voting opens October 22, 2018.
  • Ballots must be requested from Piedmont Division Elections Chair Chuck Hoesch, at elections@piedmont-div.org.  You will receive a numbered ballot via email.  Ballots are numbered for control purposes only.
  • This ballot is assigned to you.  It may not be used by additional members.
  • To receive an absentee ballot, you must meet the above voting requirements.  You will be notified if you do not meet voting requirements.
  • Send the completed ballot by US Mail to Elections Chair Chuck Hoesch at the address listed on the ballot.  It must be received by Chuck no later than November 5, 2018.

 Additional Absentee Voting Information 

  • Ballots received after November 5, 2018 will not be accepted.
  • Incomplete or erroneous ballots may be invalidated by the elections chair.
  • Multiple copies of ballots with the same ballot number will be invalidated.
  • If you are not in good standing or no longer meet the above voting requirements as listed on the most recent NMRA roster on the date of the election, the ballot will be invalidated.
