See It On The Map

Going west on I-285, north of Atlanta, take exit 30, marked North Peachtree Road. The ramp has a traffic light on N Peachtree Rd. Continue ahead on Cotillion Dr, parallel to I-285 to the next traffic light which is N. Shallowford Rd. You will see GA Power on the corner just ahead.
Turn right onto N. Shallowford Rd., go past the Emory-Dunwoody Medical Center (now closed) to a crossroad and traffic light, where you will see Chamblee-Dunwoody Road come in from your left, and it makes a 90 degree turn and continues straight ahead. Coming in from your right is Peeler Rd.
Continue past this intersection to the next road on your left. This is North Springs Rd. And there is an entrance to North Springs. Turn Left into North Springs which curves around to your right. Go to the third street to your right which is Chadwell Lane.
Turn right onto Chadwell Lane and we are the second house on your left (white columns in front) on the corner of Chadwell Ct. which ends in a cul-de-sac. Use the carport door please.

Layout at a Glance

The Delta Southern Railroad of Dr. Joe Nichols, Sr., MMR, includes hand laid track, operating signals, four freight yards, and many passenger trains. A color camera in a Proto 1000 RDC enables the operator to get an engineer's eye view of the layout while operating from a mockup of an SD40-2 control stand. The Delta Southern's latest addition is an industrial switching area featuring more than 70 buildings - almost all are scratch built. Joe Sr.\'s specialty is close detail work. A must-see for beginners and veterans of the hobby.
