See It On The Map

If you use a GPS or MapQuest use 5838 Thompson Mill Rd. as the destination address.  The GPS or MapQuest will not find 6408 Lantern Ridge.  Be sure you tell the guard you are visiting the railroad.

 

Directions using I-85 North.

 

I-85 North to Exit 126 (Château Élan exit)

Left at end of ramp for about 2 miles on GA 211

Left on Thompson Mill at light for 1.3 miles

Right into Village at Deaton Creek  (5838 Thompson Mill Rd)-- go slow it’s just after a curve & next to the new medical center.

Go to Guard House in Left lane & tell them you are visiting the railroad.

Continue going straight past the club house & over the bridge

Right on Canebridge (4th Right after the bridge)

Stay on Canebridge until it ends

Right on Lantern Ridge

Our house is on the Left in the cul de sac, it's brick just past the white house

Park in the driveway, or in the middle of the cir

Large basement-size layout featuring 2 levels with valance lighting using fluorescent bulbs.  Aisles are wide and the fascia is curved to be operator friendly.  Operates as a point to point layout with a helix for continuous running.  Operations include freight and passenger service to 5 towns.  This layout was previously located in Norcross and has been completely redesigned for the new, improved space.
