From I-75 exit Barrett Parkway, go 1.2 miles west on Barrett Parkway to Cobb

Parkway (Hwy. 41), turn right onto Cobb Parkway and go north 4.3 miles to Jim Owens Road, turn

left onto Jim Owens Road and go 0.2 miles to Memorial Parkway NW. Turn right onto Memorial

Parkway NW and go 0.2 miles. House is on left, light blue with dark red shutters.

It is 1967 and Santa Fe’s east-west main line still moves freight and first class passenger name

trains from Chicago to Los Angeles over Raton Pass and across Canyon Diablo. Construction

of this large layout is in the early stages with much of the main line, branch line and point-

to-point D&RGW narrow gauge “Chili Line” interchange still to be built. An interesting visit

for those starting to build ambitious layouts. Continuous running not yet possible.
