From the Buford exit of I-985 (Exit # 4):
1) Go east on GA Hwy 20 (approx. 1.5 mi - toward Mall of GA.).
2) Turn left on to S. Bogan Road (approx 3/4 mi).
3) Turn right on to Kilgore Rd (approx 3/4 mi).
4) Turn left into "Mill Creek Landing" Sub division.
5) Take first right and then the first left on to "Jasmine Glen Dr."
6) House is at end of the cul de sac on the left - "2402"

Layout at a Glance

The “Heart of Georgia” model layout is based on the modern day Heart of Georgia Railroad, or simply - the “HOG.” It was recently featured in “ScaleRails,” the NMRA monthly magazine.  It has also been the subject of an internet chat group for over 3 years. 

The prototype is a small railroad that hauls many different commodities such as local agricultural products, pulpwood, wafer board and aggregates. They run older first and second generation diesels and have a very slow-paced, southern appeal. However, the bridge traffic brought in by the Norfolk Southern, CSX, and Georgia Central can make things interesting! The occasional weekend tourist rail excursion courtesy of the SAM Shortline Railway can add excitement as well.
