See It On The Map

To get there from the northeast ... come down I85, get off at the Peachtree St. / Buckhead exit. Go north on Peachtree (pass the AMTRAK station) and turn left on Collier Road (just after Ted's Montana Grill). Collier is about .6 miles from where the exit ramp dumps onto Peachtree.
Go two blocks. Turn left onto Anjaco Rd. The house is just past the bottom of the hill on the right.


From the northwest and south, get off at the Northside Drive exit on I75. (exit 252 from the north, 252A from the south ... Note: this is NOT the Northside Parkway exit!!) Go north (that would be a right turn from the south, and a left turn from the north) until the first light. Turn right (that's Collier Rd. ) Go 3/4 mile. The Piedmont hospital megalith is on the left, Anjaco Rd is on the right. (Anjaco is two streets after you pass over the CSX mainline)

 

The house is just past the bottom of the hill on the right. Come around back, through the yard gate, and enter through the back patio.

Street parking is OK on the weekends.

 

Layout at a Glance

This layout is a loose representation of the most mountainous portion of the Seaboard Air Line in the late summer of 1954.  It is designed for lots of industry switching, and has a number of seriously modified kits and scratch built structures.  The track is mostly handlaid using Central Valley kits. Locomotive power is provided by first generation diesels – with some ‘retired’ SAL steam on the branchline.

 The C/MRI system controls the physical plant, and signal installation is in progress.
